Loren's Auto: Meet Our Staff of Professionals

Loren Sallee
Loren Sallee is the founder of Loren's Auto Repair Inc. He grew up on a farm in Willow Creek, MT where he learned to make and repair anything on the farm. After high school he attended one year of college in Agriculture Mechanics then trained as a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force. Later he spent a year studying at Montana Auto College in Great Falls, MT. Most of his experience has been in GM dealerships until he started his own shop in 1985. Loren has over 35 years experience and is ASE Master certified. He is also a member of iATN (International Automotive Technicians? Network), and ASA. He is married to Denise his business partner and they have 2 grown children and now 2 new grandchildren. Loren enjoys boating, exploring, bicycling and motorcycle riding. Loren is very involved with many Christian ministries and Bible Studies and Prison Impact Ministries. Loren and Denise are also members of the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce.
Denise Sallee
Denise Sallee is co-owner of Loren?s Auto Repair Inc. She was born and raised in Bozeman, MT and attended MSU for two years majoring in Home Economic/Business. She works part-time now at the business and enjoys visiting with the customers and doing a variety of things around the office. Denise and Loren have two grown children, Katrina and Mike Hubner of Belgrade MT and Travis and Sandy of Seattle, WA. Loren and Denise are the proud Grandparents of Shaphan Hubner and Cielo Sallee, both born the last of 2006. Denise enjoys cooking, crafts and homemaking.
Steve Matkovich
Steve came to us in February 2008 as our new General Manger. Steve is originally from Detroit, MI and moved to Ronan, MT in 1972. He graduated from Ronan High School and joined the US Navy where he was a diesel mechanic for 4 years. Steve continued working on vehicles at various places while going to college in Missoula at UM. He moved to Las Vegas with his family and has also lived in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, Sacramento and back to Las Vegas. He moved his family up from Las Vegas to come back home. Steve enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, hanging out with his family and he is still attached to the Navy as a reservist.
Brad
Brad is our Service Manager here at Loren's. He was born in Kalispell and has been in the automotive industry for many years. He is married and has four children. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and tinkering with his classic cars and spending as much time as he can with his family.
Lila Pomeroy
Lila Pomeroy moved to Montana in July of 1995 coming from North Bend, Oregon and she came to work for us in September of that year. Lila is the office manager and bookkeeper for our company. Lila and her husband Ken have four children and are adding grandchildren, which keeps their life very exciting. They enjoy hiking and camping and stay active in their church.
Sabin Holcomb
Sabin Holcomb was born and raised in Kalispell, graduated from FHS in 1996, took 1 year off and worked at Bitney's Furniture for college money. He attended UTI in Phoenix, AZ. and graduated December 18, 1998. He started working for Loren's Auto Repair January 7, 1999. Sabin met his wife in February of 1997 and married Tammy on July 22, 2000. They bought their new home in Evergreen and have lived their since 2002. Sabin & Tammy enjoy going camping & 4 wheeling with their family. Sabin is an ASE Master Automotive Technician, with additional certifications.
Greg Cross
Greg Cross moved here from Phoenix and is excited to live in the Flathead. Greg is an ASE Certified technician and enjoys working on mechanical things along with some fabrication. He enjoys restoring classic cars. He also enjoys fishing and most outdoor activities like hiking, skiing and motorcycles.
Nick Rosenbaum
Nick graduated from Columbia Falls High school in 2000, worked at Plum Creek to earn enough money for college. Nick attended Montana State University-Northern where he obtained a four year degree in Automotive Technology. In 2004 he was offered a position with General Electric working as a technical supervisior where he spent 4 1/2 years overseeing the maintenance and repairs of GE Locomotives. Nick was born and raised in the Flathead Valley enjoying hunting, fishing, snowboarding, rafting, plus the numerous lake and outdoor activities the valley offers. He is very happy to be back in the Flathead Valley and we are happy to have him join our team.
Steve Riggs
Steve grew up and attended high school and college in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has two grown children, his son lives in California and his daughter lives in Colorado. He has 23 years experience working on vehicles in Colorado. He came to Loren's Auto Repair in 2008. Steve became interested in racing sled dogs while in Colorado, and moved to Montana in 2006 to be closer to races and good training trails. He now lives in the Swan Valley with his wife Wendy and 31 sled dogs.
Ryan Mannon
Ryan Mannon joined our team as our Lube Tech. He has three years training in the automotive industry and loves to work on cars and trucks, especially old muscle cars. In his spare time he likes to go camping and riding dirt bikes and quads. He just moved to Kalispell from Michigan
Baxter
Baxter is our greeter. He has become very dedicated to his job but only works two days a week. He owes his success to Pete who trained him as a puppy the last year of her life. Being raised around the shop has given him a very mild and friendly disposition.
