We believe in the "Golden Rule," treating others as we would want to be treated. Our vision puts service first service to our customers, our employees, and our key relationships. As a result, our business is profitable and our customers find tremendous value in our work.
Loren's Auto & RV Repair is a NAPA AutoCare Center and subscribes to the following Code of Ethics:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic and repair service at a fair price, using quality NAPA parts.
- Employ ASE-Certified technicians in all areas of work performed.
- Be dedicated to customer satisfaction.
- Exercise reasonable care for the customer's property while it is in the shop's possession.
- Provide a system for fair settlement of customer complaints, should they occur.
- Maintain the highest standards of the automotive service profession.
- Uphold the integrity of all members of the NAPA AutoCare Program.
As a NAPA AutoCare Center we have a special relationship with Kalispell Auto Parts who is our number one supplier. We are also an ACDelco TSS (Total Service Support) repair facility and work well together with our ACDelco suppliers. These relationships help us get updated training and better pricing which helps us be more profitable and take care of our customers changing automotive needs.
We are a AAA Approved Auto Repair Center, a part of AAA's network of approved facilities that have met and maintained AAA's tough performance standards while providing reliable and courteous service. We have received and maintained the "AAA Top Shop Gold" rating. To receive this award, we have to have a very high CSI score, have no justifiable complaints and maintain ASE Certification of our technicians. We offer our AAA customers a "Show Your Card and Save" discount and free basic vehicle inspection to help them know if they are due for any maintenance or repairs.
Loren's strongly supports the ongoing training requirements of our technicians and encourage them to take advantage of as much training as possible. Any training they take advantage of can make them more effective and efficient, which will increase revenues for them and the company.
We are an "ASE Blue Seal Shop". To qualify as a Blue Seal establishment, a repair business must have a track record better than the minimums of the following criteria:
- At least 75% of technicians must be ASE-certified.
- At least one technician must be ASE-certified in each area of service offered by the business.
- To ensure that professional certification credentials remain current, ASE reviews the status of each establishment annually.
Motorhome work is a growing part of our business. As the only Workhorse Custom Chassis authorized warranty repair center in the area, we perform motorhome maintenance and repair. We also conduct chassis road performance assessments and upgrades. We use a lot of Super Steer products developed and supplied by Henderson's Line-up along with other great suppliers. These products will help make it more enjoyable to travel in an RV.
We do fleet maintenance to help keep our fleet customers on the road and keep their cost per mile down by performing preventive maintenance to help prevent costly breakdowns.
Most of our customers live within 30 miles of our business. We believe in preventive maintenance to protect the vehicle investment and prefer working with people who understand the value of preventive maintenance. We have a Customer Questionnaire that helps us build that relationship. We use this questionnaire with new customers and to update existing customers. We like to send it to them using e-mail so they can have time to think about the answers and respond back to us before their appointment to save time.
A growing number of our customers are women who like to take care of their vehicles and we go the extra mile to make them feel comfortable and help them with their automobile maintenance needs. Another rising customer base is our senior citizens and Loren's evaluates their needs in relationship to their resources and how they use their automobile.
We try not to turn away anyone with an automobile repair need if we have the ability to serve them in an equitable way and they have the resources to get the work done. If we do not believe we are the best ones for their problem we will be up front with them and assist them in finding the right help.
We serve our customers best by greeting them promptly and politely with a smile and a caring attitude. We give them our undivided attention and listen to their needs and repeat back to them what they say, when necessary, to make sure we understand the reason for their concern and are best able to determine the correct approach to solving their vehicle problems. We need to make sure what we hear them saying is what they are saying. The technician needs enough information to know what he is expected to do and as much as possible the amount of time he has been authorized to perform the testing or repairs. We prefer to test drive with the customer to help us understand what the concern is when applicable.
The technician will then examine the information he has been given and plan a systematic approach to solving the problems. He will do everything he can to make sure he has clear information. He then thoroughly inspects the vehicle, investigating the problems to come up with a recommended repair. The service consultant will then estimate the repairs and explain to the customer what is needed and what it will cost. The estimate will reflect the true value our customers deserve. Our customers need enough information to make a sound buying decision. We will keep them informed of any changes we find or any delays in getting the repairs completed when promised. While working on the vehicle the technician will also report any needed repairs or services that were not mentioned on the repair order. The service consultant will inform the customer of these findings. They will be prioritized and qualified as to the urgency of the need and if the customer would like, we will estimate these repairs.
We strive to make sure our employees are compensated fairly for their efforts in meeting the customer's needs. Our employees are made to feel they are a part of the business and we care about them like family. We are very interested in their families and feel it is important that they get the time to attend school events when ever possible. We want them to be a part of their children's education. This makes them more relaxed and productive at work and we hope they will feel a sense of loyalty to the business and they will be able to properly care for their families. All of our employees are very important to us and to this business. It takes the help of everyone to do his or her part in keeping our bays full. Everyone has a part in finding tomorrow's work.
We encourage referrals from our employees and our customers. If we have that kind of relationships, everyone should feel comfortable and obliged to tell others where to get their vehicles repaired.
We enjoy an atmosphere that is not filled with vulgar talk, off colored jokes, or cursing. Our radios are set to stations that are positive and uplifting and reflect professionalism to our customers. Our employees do not feel condescending attitudes from their peers.
Employees are empowered with the latitude to make decisions and changes as needed with regard to the pricing and/or quality of parts the customer requests. We try to make them feel some ownership in the operation of the business by trusting them to use their discretion to take care of the customer in an equitable way when Loren is not available.
If we are serving the right people, the best way, for the right reason, we will have satisfied customers and employees. They will both feel good because we will be solving problems in a way that makes them both realize satisfaction. This makes communication work and helps us build trusted relationships that last.
We do not tell the customer what we can not do without telling them what we can do. This is customer service and builds confidence, trust and loyalty. We treat customers as something more than a source of income, but as important clients. We find the customers needs and fill them. And for doing a complete and fair job, we can expect to be paid for our labor.
We provide the following value added services;
- Pick up vehicles or deliver our customers to their home or work.
- Provide a clean pleasant waiting room with current magazines for reading, television, toys & videos for customers with children.
- Provide hot coffee for our customers.
- Help find alternative transportation when needed.
- Make every effort to repair only what needs to be repaired and prioritize the needed repairs so our customers can budget the work if they can not have all the work done at one time.
- Call for authorization from customers when we find more needed repairs than were agreed upon when they dropped off their vehicle.
- Provide a pager when needed to get in touch with customers who will not be near a phone to receive our call.
- Call customers when their vehicle is ready for pick up.
- Wash customer's vehicle after all repairs or in case of bad weather we give them a "free car wash" rain check.
- Explain repairs so our customers understand what they are paying for and the value of the repairs.
- Call customer a few days after repairs were done to make sure all work was done to their satisfaction.
- Send reminders for needed maintenance or repairs.
- Give out AAA report cards to all customers so that AAA can see how we are doing serving our customers.
- Send customer satisfaction questionnaires to all customers for our own use to see how we are doing.
